How do I purchase from Opportunity Buys?
Opportunity Buys is a wholesale only company. We will not sell to anyone that is not a registered customer. We require your State Tax ID number or proof of business ownership is required as well as a current mailing address, email address, and phone number for your business.

The day we receive your information (By 2 PM EST) you will be signed up as a customer and you will be able to access the website by 6 PM EST that day. Business days only (M-F).
We require payment at the time of purchase through credit card.  We do not offer COD payments.
There is a minimum purchase of $100 online.

How to order?
To order, you must be a registered customer with Opportunity Buys and have supplied us with an email address to log in to the members portion of the website. You can call us at 317-353-6684 to order. All pickup orders must be placed 24 hours in advance of pickup. Pick hours are 9am-4pm M-F.
 

Can you ship Fedex?
Yes, Fedex is our primary small package carrier. We can also ship any item we carry with an LTL carrier.  

What is LTL Shipping?
LTL shipping stands for Less-Than-Truckload. This means the order will be shipped out on a pallet with an LTL company. LTL companies are trucking companies such as Fedex Frieght, R+L Carriers, Estes, Old Dominion, to name just a few. This type of shipping is much safer than Parcel Post Shipping, as the entire order stays together and is handled with care.
In Parcel Post shipping (UPS, FedEX, USPS) boxes do have a chance of being tossed around or dropped, making it very difficult to ship fragile items with any hope they will arrive in one piece. Select items are required to ship LTL due to possible rough handling.
To make shipping cost effective, LTL orders should normally be at least $400-$500 or more. Although this is not a requirement, it is the best way to keep freight per item at an acceptable percentage.
 

What payment types do you accept?
For pickup we accept Cash, Credit Cards (Visa, MC, AMEX, Discover), and Checks.
For shipping orders, we accept Credit Cards (Visa, MC, AMEX, Discover, NET 30).

Should I check local laws before purchasing products?
Yes, you are responsible for knowing and understanding your local and state laws. Opportunity Buys Inc makes no representations to the laws governing the possession, sales or marketability of any product we offer. Opportunity Buys Inc does not guarantee that the products we offer are legal in your local area. Check your local laws before purchasing any products. .

What information can members see?
Once a member logs into our website they can see recent inventory information, pricing information and they may place orders online. We fill orders on a first come, first serve basis. Please be aware that inventory accuracy is not 100%.

Will you ship international?
Currently, we only ship to the continental United States and Canada. We do not have the capabilities for exporting to any other countries. We do not ship to Puerto Rico, Alaska or Hawaii due to the high cost of freight to these areas.

I want to place my first order, but I have some questions.
If you are placing your first order with us online, please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have. (317)353-6684 or 800-894-2816 Mon-Fri 8:30-4:30. If you know the type and quantity of products you are looking for, we can also prepare an accurate shipping quote for you. If you decide you would like to place an order, you may do so over the phone or by submitting the order online. Credit cards are preauthorized but not charged until the order is pulled and ready to be shipped.

How long before an order ships out?
Please allow 1-3 business days for your order to be processed and leave our warehouse. Orders placed after 2PM on Friday or during Saturday and Sunday will begin processing on Monday.
During the holiday season it may take longer to receive your order due to the volume of orders and shipping carrier availability.


What does it mean to have an item shipped on a pallet?
Shipping LTL means the order is shipped out as a single unit wrapped on a wooden pallet. Pallets may be filled with different quantities of many different items. The base shipping charge for a pallet starts around $80-$100. For this reason, we recommend a $400-$500 order so that your shipping per piece comes out to a good rate.  It is often cheaper to ship large orders by pallet then by shipping each case separately. Also, by shipping on a pallet, your order stays together and is handled as a single unit which helps prevent breakage.

We allow our customers to use their own freight carrier accounts if they choose. Please be aware that you will be responsible for completing the Bill Of Lading (we can supply you with NMFC, class and weight), calling in the pickup or supplying us with the phone number and taking care of any issues with the carrier on your own.

How do I confirm an order has been placed?
After you place an order, you should receive an email with your order details. If you do not receive this email, the order may not have been placed. Make sure you press the "Confirm Order" button on the last ordering page. You may also click on the "My Account" link at the top of the page to view orders that you have placed.  Please feel free to call us to check if your order has been received. Credit cards are preauthorized but not charged until the order has been pulled and verified.

Why can't I get an actual shipping quote online?
You will find our online quotes are very accurate in most cases. We charge our customers the actual shipping rate that we receive.  With recent fuel prices, shipping has become a major concern with many of our customers. Since we carry such a variety of different types of merchandise, this makes it hard to give actual quotes when mixing merchandise. In most cases we can supply you with actual quotes in only a few minutes over the phone or we can contact you with the quote after you place an order. You will find that the quotes are very close and if it the actual freight is substantially higher we will contact you, no surprises.
